Training

Here is a quick checklist of the items you should have completed or be working on prior to getting started.


State License

This step is required prior to completing anything else on this list.


Anti-Money Laundering Training


NAIC State Suitability & Best Interest Training

This training is used to get compliant in the state you are writing business and is required by every carrier we work with to even write an Annuity.

Most states will accept this NAIC training for non-resident states you write in as well just by completing your home state training. (Excludes: Texas, New York, Florida, and California.) The training is free, but if you pay for it you can get 5 CE credits. (Every state has a different price, but Pennsylvania is currently $10 to complete and get credits.) If you do not pay for the course, it can still count once completed, but you will not obtain any CE credits.

Save your certificate once completed and submit it to your IMO group. This will make it easier to send out each time your IMO selects and gets you contracted with a carrier.


ASPIDA

Carrier will require that you contract with them. Pennsylvania Agents: PA is a pre-appointment state, meaning you need to be ACTIVE and APPOINTED with the carrier, along with having the product training completed.

You will receive an email to complete product training approximately 24 hours after contracting is submitted.


Nassau

Carrier will require that you contract with them. Pennsylvania Agents: PA is a pre-appointment state, meaning you need to be ACTIVE and APPOINTED with the carrier, along with having the product training completed.

EquiTrust

Carrier will require that you contract with them. Pennsylvania Agents: PA is a pre-appointment state, meaning you need to be ACTIVE and APPOINTED with the carrier, along with having the product training completed.
