- CMS announced a 2.48% payment increase for Medicare Advantage; the initial proposal was flat, 0.09%.This is a win, but it will still be interesting to see how plans lay out their benefits for 2027. Health Insurers Get a 2.5% Medicare Rate Hike They Feared Would Be Flat
- Humana household discount rules: PA recently changed from a roommate (enhanced) discount to multi-insured. There is still a 12% discount still but need both members in household to be on a Humana plan to qualify. Read more.
- Medico/Wellabe had a decrease in their commissions we are seeing 2% typically across the board. “Starting May 1, 2026, Wellabe will adjust Medicare Supplement commission payments for new business across all sales levels. On average, commissions will be reduced by about 2 points. You can view your updated commission schedule in the agent portal on the Commissions page.” Read more.
